Sophie is a Star

Woof. woof, everyone

I've been having a lovely time.  To start with Peaches and Patches came to stay and they had a great time playing in the garden.  They wanted to smell all the plants and pick strawberries to eat.  We had a great time playing 'Hide and Seek' and they loved hearing the story of how Peaches and Patches Goldilocks went to visit the Three Bears

Then I had a lovely time at Cafe where I got lots of cuddles from the children and had a tasty bacon sandwich.
Everyone made a really great door hanger.  Sue made mine before we started so the children knew what to do.  Mine said 'Sophie is a Star'  which is, of course, exactly right!

Here is a picture of my craft.

I coloured the letters myself but let Sue tie the tricky bows and all the sticky glue bits as I don't like glue in my fur. It's really fun to make and you can hang it in your room or on your door afterwards.

Sue:  The craft is very easy.  We used a foam star, a card one would work too, and punched holes in three of the points then decorated with sticky shapes.  We used the Clarity Stamp Letter Box kit to stamp the letters onto card and then coloured them in.  We punched a hole in the top and tied to the star.
The theme of the morning was that we are all special and loved by God.

It's good to have help

Woof everyone.
I've had a funny doggy week.  There is a new cat in the neighborhood and it is HUGE.  Not only that but it is a mean old thing.  Now don't get me wrong - for a dog I like cats.  Well Ok, I'm nice to the cat next door because it helped me when I hurt my paw - so I've stopped chasing it and barking at it.  But this new cat makes me feel like barking!  It's being mean to the cat next door and it's digging up Mr Cramp's seeds.
But instead of barking, I've been really brave this week.  I've tried talking to it and trying to persuade it to be nice.  But it doesn't listen, just stares at me, like cat's do, and makes me want to hide my nose under my paws just in case it gets it's claws out.
So I was just getting worried that I'm not being a very good dog when Mrs Cramp and I come into assembly.  She tells me that it's really hard to change the mind of a cat, especially one which is a bit of a bully.  That I should keep trying and remember that I can always ask her and Mr Cramp for help.  She's even promised me some really special doggie treats for being so brave!  Happy Woof!

I always feel great when I've seen you all in assembly.  Thanks for helping to make me feel like a good dog again.

I'm really looking forward to seeing lots of you at Cafe on Sunday

It's hard being an Aunty

Woof everyone.
I've had a bit of trouble with my niece Peaches.  She came to stay unexpectedly and I only had enough food for one.  So I trusted her to go out and buy some more food for us.  She went out alright - but to play with her friends!  Then she came back starving hungry and demanded her dinner.
Well I gave her a telling off and then said she could have my dinner.  That made her very sorry so she went out, still hungry and came back with some lovely treats for us both.
Because she didn't do what I asked I felt like a very bad Aunty.  But Sue and the children at school convinced me that I was doing a good job because I had trusted her to do something ... and then she'd showed she loved me by going out hungry to fetch something tasty for us both.
So then I felt much, much better.  Thanks for the encouragement everyone!!!
